“I built GRC for researchers who want their work to be taken seriously, without losing the people, histories and communities that give it meaning.”
Zilondiwe Goge is an award-winning research leader, entrepreneur and speaker, and the Founder and Managing Director of Goge Research Collective. With a decade of experience spanning higher education, research, programme evaluation, postgraduate development and institutional capacity-building, she leads GRC at the intersection of rigorous scholarship, African-centred knowledge production and meaningful social impact.
She holds a Master of Psychology and has established a multidisciplinary research practice that supports researchers, institutions and organisations across the full knowledge-production journey. Under her leadership, GRC has developed an integrated portfolio of research advisory, curriculum development and design, programme evaluation, data analysis, academic development, methodological training and scholarly publishing support. Her approach combines intellectual rigour with ethical practice, contextual relevance and a deep respect for researchers' authorship.
Zilondiwe's scholarship centres African knowledge systems, personhood, identity, spirituality and well-being. She is particularly committed to strengthening the visibility, accessibility and influence of African scholarship, an ambition reflected in GRC's growing African Scholarship Repository and its wider work in researcher development and knowledge mobilisation.
Her leadership and scholarship have been recognised through awards and competitive fellowships, including the Nelson Mandela University Vice-Chancellor's Leadership Award, the Abe Bailey Travel Bursary and the Friedrich Ebert Stiftung Fellowship. She has also contributed to international intellectual platforms, including an engagement at the African Union Headquarters in Addis Ababa.
Through GRC, Zilondiwe is building more than a research-support company. She is shaping an African-rooted research institution that develops researchers, strengthens organisations, advances consequential scholarship and helps redefine whose knowledge is recognised, preserved and trusted.
